Roulette Casino Game >> Roulette Strategy
The first roulette strategy to use when playing roulette is to play on a European wheel, this is because it has one less pocket than the American wheel so it lowers the house advantage. When playing roulette its also a good idea to keep an eye on the previous numbers and watch for any kind of patterns.
The martingale system is really more of a financial money management system but it can be used on the roulette table. The system works on the theory that you can not loose all of the time. Working on this theory the idea of the martingale system is to increase your bets each time in order to eventually get your money back plus a profit.
An example of this would be a gambler who has been watching the pattern of the roulette numbers and notices there has not been a low number in the first dozen (1-12) section for a while, thinking the first dozen cant loose for ever he places a bet of 10 dollars in on it for a payout of 2:1 trying to double his money. The roulette wheel spins and the gambler looses his money. In order to win back the money lost and make a profit the gambler would then double his steak to 20 dollars and bet then continue to bet on the first dozen, doubling his bet with ever loose until he eventually wins and doubles his money.
The martingale system is a risky tactic as it does have some drawbacks. For example you might run out of money first. For example if a player starts with $100 in the bank and uses the martingale system he can only afford to make 3 bets if he started with a $10 bet, this would then double up to $20 and finally a last bet of $40.
10 + 20 + 40 = 70.
This would only leave the player with $30 left and unable to continue the system. Another drawback of the martingale system is the casinos betting limit in which case you would never win your money back. For example if the table had a bet limit of $300 and you started with $5 the sequence would go like this $5 , $10 , $20 , $40 , $80 , $160 this means you would have to win in 5 spins or loose your money. Even if you start with $1 you only have 9 spins to rely on.
Progressive bets are also a common roulette betting system. When using the progressive system you start with a fixed amount, when ever you win your bet is increased by the value of the win. For example if you started off with $5 and win, the next bet you place will be $10. If you win again it goes up to $15 and when you lose you progressively lower your bets by $5.
When playing its a good idea to set limits for your self and when you reach those limits stop playing. Like all gambling games playing roulette for cash can become addictive and you should be aware of that. Sometimes it is important to know when to give up, walking away when you have reached your limits. Remember no one is forcing you to gamble it is your own choice.
Remember no strategy can ever work all the time and you must remember that roulette is a game of pure luck. There is no skill to the game and any number can roll in. Roulette is nothing more than a game of fun and chance.
